Project B.A.S.I.C. Child Development Specialist, & Child Care Consultation Staff have created a collection of lesson plans that prove to be useful for curriculums focused on the social and emotional development of students. These lesson plans can serve as an inspiration and can be redesigned according to the cultural and social contexts of students.

 

CASEL

CASEL which stands for Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning aims to make evidence-based social and emotional learning (SEL) an integral part of education from preschool through high school. Their website provides abundant resources from SEL in Action research and policies that can help support teachers understand SEL better in order to design effective activities for their students.

 

CASEL District Resource Center

CASEL build this website as a resource center for the systemic implementation of Social and Emotional learning by school districts. This site provides a collection of learnings, best practices and artifacts gathered from different school districts in America. This is a place where teachers can explore tools and artifacts to best support their teaching pedagogies.

 

CenterVention

CenterVention is a research and evidence based program that offers innovative, blended learning instructional models that consist of student-driven practice of simulated social scenarios, data reporting to identify areas of additional focus and supplemental lessons and activities to reinforce leaning. Second Step

Second Step is a program rooted in social and emotional learning (SEL) that helps transform schools into supportive, successful learning environments uniquely equipped to help children thrive. Second step has created a summative assessment guide for teachers which we recommend to use as a Guide for the Pre-instruction Survey in this curriculum.

VolunteerMatch matches inspired people with inspiring causes. It's how volunteers and nonprofits connect with one another to achieve remarkable outcomes. Students can use this site to find opportunities to volunteer and experience civic engagements through authentic volunteering tasks.

 

Zoo U is an evidence-based online game that assesses children’s social skills and provides a targeted intervention based on that assessment, thereby enabling the program to meet each child’s individual social skills needs. (DEMO)
